What Is Hand Rejuvenation?

As we age, our hands lose volume which makes the bones, tendons, veins, and other structures more visible. Hands are also especially susceptible to sun damage and age spots. With hand rejuvenation, our goal is to minimize hyperpigmentation and add back lost volume to give your hands a more youthful appearance.

What Is The Procedure Like?

Hand rejuvenation is a multi-step approach involving dermal fillers, IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment, chemical peels, and lightening creams. The combination of these is very effective at restoring your hands to their younger versions.

The most common injectable fillers for regaining volume in the hands are Radiesse® and Restylane.® Dermal fillers immediately plump up the skin, minimizing the appearance of bones and veins underneath for a smooth and natural youthful look.

Once we achieve good volume, we can treat the sunspots and brown age spots with the IPL. This type of light therapy targets the pigment in your skin and destroys it with heat. In less severe cases, we may be able to treat spots with a series of peels and/or applications of lightening cream.

How Much Does It Cost?

What Is The Recovery Time?

All of the treatments we use for hand rejuvenation are simple outpatient procedures with virtually no down time. You might experience some tightness, redness, swelling, or bruising which will resolve in a few days to a week.

How Do I Make My Results Last?

Once you have had your hands rejuvenated, you’ll want to implement skin care at home to keep them looking great. Always use moisturizer with at least SPF 30. There are many options on the market specifically made for hands, and we can give you our recommendations at your visit.
